Job Opening for Executive Director

The Housing Authority of Conway, SC is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Executive Director. The agency functions with a budget of approximate $3.0 million and a staff of 12 full-time employees, 3 part-time and 3 contract maintenance employees. The Housing Authority administers 258 Public Housing Units, 373 Housing Choice Vouchers and 58 Section 8 New Construction units. The Housing Authority Board of Commissioners is composed of 5 members. Conway is the county seat of Horry County and also home to Coastal Carolina University and Horry-Georgetown Tech.

The candidate must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in one of the following:

Business Administration
Public Administration
Public Finance
Or a closely related field
The candidate must also have five years of experience in the administration or management of public housing or for-profit affordable housing. However, candidates with exceptional academic or experience backgrounds that compensate for an academic or experience deficiency may still be considered.

Compensation for this position is negotiable depending on the qualifications and salary history of the candidate.

The selected candidate must reside in Horry County within one year of employment.
